Maintenance Electrician

We are looking for a qualified Maintenance Electrician to join our team. This is a full time position.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoots electrical equipment

  • Repairs and adjusts equipment, machines, and defective components, replacing worn parts in watertight electrical equipment.

  • Inspects and tests equipment and circuits to identify malfunctions or defects, using wiring diagrams and testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or ammeters.

  • Opens and closes switches to isolate defective relays then performs adjustments or repairs.

  • Prepares and maintains records detailing tests, repairs, and maintenance.

  • Inspect drives, motors, and belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, and performs other maintenance actions, following checklists. Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.

Requirements

Must have the following skills:

  • Must have knowledge of basic machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance

  • Any and all maintenance duties, but the successful candidate MUST have experience working with 24VDC to 480VAC circuits,4-20mA loops, and troubleshooting analog/digital inputs. Familiar with electrical distribution systems including switchgear, transformers, protective relays, breakers, UPS systems, and emergency generators. Isolates and locks out sections of electrical systems for maintenance, installation and testing. Required experience: Maintenance in Mfg./ Industrial Environment: 3 years

  • Required education: High school or equivalent

  • ADDITIONAL PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: (A PLUS)
